Apologies, I Have None + Hindsights

Not long to go now until our penultimate gig of the year and the line-up , if I do say so myself, is bloody brilliant. We’ve got two of the best bands in the country on a co-headline tour in Manchester (well, Salford) on a Saturday night.

Apologies, I Have None are a firm favourite in this city, having played here a number of times on headline and support slots while Hindsights were last seen a couple of months ago playing at A Carefully Planned Festival. Both bands are loud, dark and play with so much energy and honesty it’s fantastic.

Opening up the bill are locals Leatherneck, they used to be called Bohica and played with Red City Radio back in July, now they’re called Leatherneck and just released a two-track single through Fist In The Air records (Moose Blood, The Winter Passing) which you can listen to below.

If you attended the Prawn / Hindsights show at Gullivers back in July you may be familiar with Brightr. Heartfelt acoustic punk and Laurie has a set of lungs on him that will get your attention.

Throwing Stuff make a very rare appearance on this bill, having not been the most active band in the last 12 months, they’ve just released a new song and live are always something worth watching.

Hindsights are the next band on this bill to have released some new music recently, their single “Wither” is now available for free download from their bandcamp and is their first material as a 5-piece, a move which saw Benio put down his guitar and take on vocal duties on their own.

Apologies, I Have None played a couple of new songs when they played their secret set at Manchfester and if they’re anything to go by, this next release is going to be huge. Singalong after singalong with every song guaranteed to have you punching the air and shouting the words back, I can’t get enough of this band.

Set times will be posted on the Facebook event this week.

It’s all happening at The Eagle Inn, 19 Collier Street, Salford, M3 7DW on Saturday 28th November. It’s £6 on the door and doors open at 7pm, it’s a pretty tight space and we’re expecting a good turnout this Saturday so please be early!

*The Eagle Inn is just off Blackfriar’s Road in an industrial area, use a map but not too hard to find. Any problems shout me @movingnorthuk
