May. Done and dusted!

May kicked off for us with a ridiculous line-up at Retro Bar showcasing some of the best bands in the country at the moment, conveniently located under the Specialist Subject Records banner. Then we moved into the second week of May and had the honour of hosting the first ever Manchester show for The Bennies.

Both shows were brilliantly attended and went off without a hitch. Thanks to everyone who came to either, you make promoting shows in this city so enjoyable!

That’s May out of the way – then two gigs a month for June and July!

Next up is a smasher of a show at a tiny venue in Fallowfield for the return of Blackhole, accompanied by Leeds indie-punks Brawlers and return from Manchester based post-hardcore dudes in Hopes. Tickets are £6 advance and the place is half sold out so don’t sleep on this one.

Two days later we’re teaming up with CMH to bring back the beloved Beach Slang, this time under the city’s biggest disco ball at The Deaf Institute on a Sunday night with support from Weaves and Patty Hearst.

July kicks off immediately with the return of loveable Durham pop sensations – MARTHA! Line-up still to be finalised by a third of the tickets have already shifted and Soup Kitchen doesn’t have infinite space so get yourselves together and grab a ticket now. Last time at The Star & Garter sold out and was a really special night.

Staying at Soup Kitchen and on another Friday – we’ve got our second show of July with the return of our absolute favourites in The Smith Street Band, if that wasn’t enough then the support from Apologies, I Have None and Woahnows should really knock you off your feet. This has almost sold out so again – don’t sleep on it!
