Our third show of 2016 is going to be on the 28th February at Retro Bar featuring some of the most promising UK bands like the excellent Simmer and Leatherneck.

I think the first time we had Simmer on a show was with Moose Blood, Choir Vandals and Boston Manor at the start of 2015 and fast forward a year later, they’re awaiting the release of their debut album, coming out on the brilliant Dogs Knights Productions label and heading out on tour with some more fine UK talent to celebrate.

Leatherneck are a band that I’ve been listening to a lot recently, they’ve got a two-track single that I immediately fell in love with when I heard the opening riff of ‘Monochrome’ – coming across almost The Smiths-esque before kicking into some real emo/grunge goodness.

The bands are joined by Water Canvas all the way from Brighton and new locals Plastic too who you can wrap your ears around here.

The gig is happening on 28th February at The Retro Bar in Manchester. £5 on the door and Facebook info here.
